As a family-owned company with generations of experience in fabrication, materials, and yard operation– Lazzara Yachts has come to be known as one of the finest yacht brands on the market. The company got its start in 1990 but the boat-building experience dates back to 1955 when Vince Lazzara built himself a 40’ sailboat in conjunction with AeroMarine. The boat was fabricated using fiberglass applications that Vince himself pioneered. In 1960 Vince started Columbia Yachts production his own line of fiberglass sailboats and after a few years, Columbia yachts grew to become a worldwide developer of fiberglass sailboats. Vince sold Columbia Yachts in 1967 and relocated to Florida where he founded Gulfstar Yachts in the early 1970’s. The company underwent some hardships before Lazzara began producing high-quality, high-performance motor yachts. By the 1980’s Lazzara’s sons, Brad and Dick, joined the family business. Lazzara’s sons left their father’s business and started their own company in 1990 – Lazzara Yacht Corporation, which focuses on powerboat and custom yacht design. The first launch was the Lazzara 76 in 1992. Lazzara Yacht Corporation is an industry leader in innovation, quality, and style, winning awards for innovative design and patented processes. Lazzara’s fleet currently ranges from 60 to 120 feet.

Born and raised on a bayou near Galveston, Texas, Mark Parker grew up boating with his father. He always knew he wanted to be a yacht broker and has spent his life learning the business. He worked as a boat mate and later was a captain on sportfishing boats every summer during high school and college.


After graduating from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in marketing, Mark joined a yacht brokerage firm where he consistently was a top-selling agent. In 1989, he moved to Florida and then joined HMY Yachts a few years later. With 30 years of experience, Mark truly provides clients with the best yacht sales experience available.


Mark’s passion for the boating industry inspired him to co-write and publish the PowerBoat Guide marine reference books. After starting the research in 1987, Mark and his co-author published the first annual PowerBoat Guide in 1989.
