Description
An extremely popular model, the Carver 500 Cockpit MY is a cockpit version of the Carver 455/456 Aft Cabin with additional fuel. Beginning with the original maple interior of the 500, the galley is aft in the salon rather than forward as it is in most motoryachts this size. This floor-plan makes it easier to access the galley from the aft deck and bridge, while at the same time pushing the salon seating and entertaining areas forward. In the Carver 500 model, a folding bulkhead in the VIP cabin conceals a small guest stateroom/den to port with convertible bunk beds. A sliding door in the master stateroom opens to the cockpit with its molded boarding steps and walk-thru transom door. The large U-shaped galley features Sub-Zero refrigeration, convection microwave oven, an oven with stove top, corian counters, and tons of storage. Additional features include a tub/shower in the forward head, washer/dryer cabinet (master stateroom), wing doors, and an integral swim platform. Cummins 420hp diesels cruise at 18–20 knots.
