Design and Construction

Designed with the characteristic good looking C&C lines, including the famous sheer line of George Cuthbertson, and with overall design credited to the great Rob Ball. This is an enduring, attractive design that offers a good turn of speed.

Fin keel, of lead, is swept back and securely bolted to the hull

A high aspect ratio spade rudder located well aft offers a very responsive helm

The balsa cored deck offers stiffness and light weight. This deck has had some repair work done and few more spots remain to be serviced.

The aluminum spar is keel-stepped and supported with single spreaders and dual (fore and aft) lower shrouds and cap stays. The backstay has a mechanical tension adjustment.

The forestay is a masthead rig, supporting a Selden Furlex roller furler.
