A number of changes in ownership took place over the years until 1991 when The Museum of Yachting in Newport, RI acquired her and commenced a total restoration. Oriole II is currenltey being maintained by Wooden Boat Works in Greenport NY
Oriole II is an open cockpit racer, with a dramatic swept-back mast, small jib sail and very large main sail. She has a full keel, with lead ballast. The decks are done in canvas and epoxy.
