Description

However, due to a change of plans, she is available in this turn key readiness for her next owner. A must see for anyone considering a Freedom as their future boat.

'Constellation', a Gary Mull designed Freedom 45 Center Cockpit is beautifully maintained and offers a spacious, comfortable, and clean interior. Rigged to be easily sailed single-handed, this vessel features an uncluttered deck with a freestanding carbon fiber spar, fin keel, skeg-hung rudder, low engine hours, and many upgrades.

Unlike many other freestanding rig designs, the Freedom 45 is still a sloop, rigged with a working jib that creates flow over the main to point in the wind like a performance cruiser. With a sail inventory including a Code Zero and asymmetrical spinnaker, she performs well on all points of sail.

'Constellation' Freedom 45 comes fully loaded with an impressive array of equipment and features to enhance safety, comfort, and performance:

Powerful Engine: The Yanmar 4JH4-HTE 4-cylinder turbo 110hp engine from 2012 ensures reliable performance. The Kanzaki KMH4A gearbox enhances smooth operation, and with only 1400 hours on the clock, the engine has plenty of life left. It was fully serviced in 2022, promising minimal maintenance in the near future.

Excellent Propulsion and Steering: Equipped with a feathering Max Prop and stainless-steel steering wheel, this boat ensures excellent handling and performance. An emergency tiller also provides backup in the event of steering failure.

Robust Electrical System: The boat boasts an extensive battery bank and multiple charging systems, including solar panels and engine-mounted alternators, ensuring a consistent power supply. A 2000W inverter/charger and Energy Monitor II also provide power management flexibility.

Comprehensive Plumbing & Gas Systems: Fresh, hot, and cold water are readily available through a pressurized system, a well-insulated hot water tank, and a reverse osmosis watermaker. Propane systems have been updated in 2022 for cooking and heating.

Large Fuel and Freshwater Capacity: The boat carries 150 gallons of fuel and 68 gallons of fresh water, allowing for extended voyages without the need for frequent resupply.

Cutting-Edge Navigation and Communication Equipment: Features a suite of state-of-the-art instruments, including a Solid State Radar, Simrad Autopilot, Garmin heading sensor, ICOM VHF with GPS, and AIS capabilities.

Comfortable and Functional Interior: The U-shaped galley, spacious berths, and updated heads & showers ensure comfortable living. The saloon is designed for relaxation and includes new cushion foam from 2022. Heating and lighting are also modern and efficient.

Efficient Rigging and Sailing System: The freestanding carbon fiber mast and aluminum boom make for a low-maintenance and efficient sailing system. All the halyards and sheets are led to the cockpit for easy handling, and the full suite of sails ensures optimal performance in all conditions.

Well-Maintained Deck: Teak decks and Kiwi Grip topsides add a touch of elegance, while the practical layout includes a custom dinghy davit, radar mast, BBQ, outboard motor davit, and transom-mounted shower.

Extensive Safety Equipment: Includes EPIRB, a 4-person offshore liferaft, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, and lifejackets to ensure the safety of the crew at sea.

This Freedom 45 is indeed a well-rounded boat, designed for comfort, ease of handling, and extended cruising. With all its recent updates and well-maintained systems, it stands as an exceptional opportunity for any aspiring sailor.
