Description

The brand focuses on design and style to offer the best quality of living onboard.

Performance, design and elegance thus become the ethos of the whole range because each Italia Yacht is conceived to be contemporary, fast, safe and reliable, comfortable and spacious, fun to sail, for both cruising and racing enthusiasts.

It's Italia Yachts' latest challenge: creating a boat that is stylish and seaworthy at the same time. Two souls united, without compromising nor aesthetics or quality, aiming higher in terms of design and technique. A boat built for the most demanding sailors, who love racing and appreciate details and finishing at the highest level in both the interiors and the exteriors, in line with the brand's style: simple, functional and versatile for cruising or racing. The IY 14.98 is the first true move forward towards a different customer.

Bellissima

Feeling at home, in a comfortable and unique atmosphere. This is the feeling you will feel getting onboard an IY 14.98. Its size makes it ideal for long cruises and that is why the interiors are produced with special woods and textiles, with ample and conformable spaces, designed with easy-living in mind. Special features like a wine cellar, or high cabinets. Lighting is ward, suffused, continuous with a floor wash effect that is never invasive.

Fuoriserie

The IY 14.98 amplifies the Fuoriserie line, aiming high, with a sports boat ideal for grand-prix IRC and ORC. The deck layout includes six winches: two on the deckhouse, two primary trimming ones and two for the mainsail fine tuning in racing configuration. The crew can move easily in the cockpit, thanks to two ample passages, the rod rigging, the spinnaker equipment, the hydraulic pump in the back, the high-efficiency mast profile with an increased boom to optimize its surface downwind and the moulded anti-skid contribute to the strong racing attitude of this new model.

The IY 14.98's lines show a boat with a racing DNA but ideal for cruising too, with its ample exteriors designed for the family, with a typically Italian flair and style, where aerodynamics blends with Made in Italy full flavor.

Hull lines are sleek, with a flat stern incorporating a comfortable one-step swimming platform. All the maneuvering can be easily done from the cockpit, and the embedded recesses enable the deck to stay clean from lines and equipment.

The Bellissima version can be equipped with a jib self- tacking rail, embedded in the deck, making for very fast maneuvers by the helm.

Construction and details. Each element is up to the highest quality standards and has been developed to guarantee to the owner a solid, performing, safe and long- lasting boat, for a true luxury sailing experience.

The IY 14.98 hull and deck are lightweight and stiff by virtue of the sandwich construction with biaxial and unidirectional fiberglass preg with vinyl-ester resin and carbon structures. The IY 14.98 is built and rigged in Italy by skilled and highly qualified workers.

The interiors of the IY 14.98 derive from an accurate design process, for a sailing boat ideal for those racing sailors who do not disdain spaces and volumes typical of a comfortable yacht for long cruises.

The interior layout comes in three different options, with two or three toilets and ample storage spaces conceived for family cruising.

In the standard version the saloon is fitted with a dining table and a U-shaped settee and a second sofa on the opposite side. The galley is on the starboard side, fully equipped and integrates perfectly in the living space.

The interior design is clean, modern and linear, with generous spaces that are further amplified by the bright and shiny surfaces.

The IY 14.98 follows the brand's evolution, recreating that warm and welcoming homey feeling.

The soft lines of the furnishing are enhanced by different color effects. The wood shades go from the classic teak, to whitewashed or grey durmast.

The shiny surfaces integrate with wood panels, creating pleasing visual effects. The lightning is extremely important in order to bring out natural glow.

Italia Yachts is committed to design and create lighter and stiffer boats to get maximum performance.

That is why for the IY 14.98 too, the hull and deck a

re built sandwich with a PVC core, in variable density for different areas, and the skin in fiberglass.

The structure is built with a spiderweb concept in unidirectional fibers of carbon and glass and are entirely connected to the hull.

The bulkheads are made of marine plywood, linked to the internal structure and the deck. The hull and deck are gelcoat finished, with a no-slip deck coat.

The rig is fractional with option to use symmetrical or asymmetrical head or fractional sails.

The mast is tapered alloy with a high-performance profile, with a 9/10 rig with two 21° swept-back spreaders to ease the jibs' roach. Carbon mast is optional. The high-profile alloy boom has a recessed outhaul. The wire discontinuous rigging is fit with turnbuckles. Chainplates are mounted on the hull. The wire forestay is supplied with a head-foil in plastic material. The backstay is low-stretch textile and the halyards are Dyneema®.

The keel is T-shaped with a lead fin and a ballast bulb (for ORC) or can be a simple fin (for IRC). The geometry and wing profiles are created and optimized via high-tech software tools, also used by America's Cup designers. The rudder blade is laminated on female mold with PVC core. The rudder stock, with a CNC-machined circular biconical section, is in Anticorodal 6082 anodized alloy. The rudder bearings are self-aligning with rollers. Steering can be tiller or twin wheel.
