J-109 - SKOOT - WALKTHROUGH

COCKPIT:

The very spacious cockpit features seating for 6 and plenty of room for the crew to move about. The helm includes a suede wrapped destroyer wheel, magnetic compass, and cup holders.  The engine and autohelm controls are mounted on the starboard side with a manual bilge pump and propane locker opposite.  

Two Harkin 46 2-speed winches are mounted on the cockpit coamings, with two Harkin 40 2-speed winches mounted on the cabin top. 

A large storage locker is found under the starboard bench, that can also be accessed in the head. 

The removable transom section is currently mounted on the dock and being used as a dock box. 

TOPSIDES:

Moving forward the deck is protected by stainless steel stern and bow rails connected by dual lifelines running the length of the deck and across the stern; stainless steel gates are found at the cockpit. Stainless steel hand holds run along the cabin top, port and starboard.  An anchor locker is found at the bow. Cleats are found at the bow and stern. 

The dual spreader, fractional sloop rig features a roller furled headsail, boom with a mechanical boom vang, and a hydraulic back stay tensioner. The main sheet is mounted in the cockpit forward of the wheel pedestal and all running rigging leads aft to the cockpit. 

SALON:

Appointed with hardwood laminate joinery and sole, overhead hatch and portlights, the roomy salon is warm, bright and inviting.

Entering the salon from the cockpit the galley is found to port and the nav station and head to starboard. The aft cabin is accessed through the aft bulkhead on the port side and the forward cabin through the forward bulkhead. Seating is provided by settees on the port side and starboard sides.  A large table with fold down leaves, is center mounted.  Hand holds run the length of the salon overhead, on the port and starboard sides.  Stereo speakers and fire extinguishers are mounted on the forward bulkhead. 

Storage lockers and shelves run the length of the salon on both sides. Additional storage found beneath and behind the settees. 

Lighting is found overhead along with an opening hatch.  Additional ventilation is provided by two opening ports, with two fixed ports providing even more light. 

NAV STATION:

The forward facing nav station is found on the starboard side of the main cabin, just forward of the head and features a chart table with lift top, bench seat and a chart light.  The electrical panel is found at the nav station, along with a GPS, B&G multi-function display, vhf radio, stereo system, battery monitor control panel and a 12 vdc plug. 

GALLEY:

The L shaped galley features a two burner stove with oven mounted in the port side countertop next to a storage locker and two drawers. Two lockers are found above the counter. A large top access refrigerator is found under the counter forward of the stove. A double stainless steel sink with running water and a locker underneath is mounted in a counter extending from the port side counter to midship.

AFT CABIN:

The aft cabin is found off the galley on the port side aft.  It features hardwood laminate joinery and sole and a double berth. Upon entering there is a hanging locker on the port side.  A shelf extends the length of the cabin on the port side. The berth extends to the aft bulkhead under the cockpit.  Ventilation is provided by two opening ports.  A reading lamps is mounted on the port side with a light found overhead. 

FORWARD CABIN:

Located forward of the main cabin, this cabin features hardwood laminate joinery and a V-berth for two. Upon entering the cabin there are hanging lockers on the port and starboard sides. Shelving runs the length of the cabin on the port side. Light and ventilation are provided by an opening overhead hatch and an overhead light.  

HEAD:

Located on the starboard side aft, the head doubles as a shower.  Upon entering the sink with spigot/shower wand and manual marine toilet are found on the starboard side.  A storage locker with mirrored sliding doors is found above/behind the sink and head.  Access to the large cockpit storage locker is found on the aft bulkhead. There are two opening portlights and an overhead light to provide light and ventilation.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:

The engine compartment is found under the cockpit companionway stairs.
