Vessel Layout

Evolution and refinement manifest themselves aboard the boat in more ways than just its aesthetics. The head is fiberglass-lined, drains and includes an opening port, a vanity and 4-foot-6-inch headroom. The folding armrests in the bow lounge provide great comfort, and a cooler is built in for convenience. The transom lounge is contoured to provide thigh and calf support. This opens on a locking strut, providing great access to the engine. Two large — I’m talking folding bikes and beach chairs — stowage lockers are in the sole. More subtly, the windshield walk-through latch automatically locks in the open position, the wet bar top is nonskid and rung with a fiddle rail, and access to wakeboard stowage is via a large hatch on the standard extended swim platform. Every hatch lid stands up without having to be held, and a pocket in the helm recesses the steering wheel’s shaft bezel, providing six more inches of belly room for the skipper.

Grand and Gorgeous Sea Ray 260 Sundeck! This deck boat is perfect for endless days with family and friends cruising or enjoying watersports. The striking colors and luxurious seating invite everyone aboard. The 260 seats up to a rated capacity of 12. The bow seating is long and wide and the bow seats have padded backrests and armrests.

In the cockpit, lounge sides surround the SeaDek covered deck space and the captain's and passenger seats swivel to join the fun. A cockpit table fits nicely among the loungers and stows away in its own slot in the engine compartment. The cockpit sink and wet bar draw freshwater from the ship's pressurized water system. A second sink is in the privacy compartment along with a cassette style head. And, freshwater showers are at both the swim platform and also at the bow seating area. The gated walkthrough at the stern opens up to a very large swim platform with an aft-facing seat, making a third space to lounge and socialize. This Sea Ray 260 is particularly stylish with neutral color upholstery, coordinated surfaces, and bright contrasting stainless steel fittings.

Deck and Hull

This deck delivers space and utility by subtle tweaks of line, rather than hanging a stern-drive on a floating rectangle. The bow is fuller than that of a bowrider’s, the chine is lower, and the freeboard is higher. Yet the 260 boasts a sport-boat stance. Why? It has an aggressive stem rake flowing into a deep-V hull form that terminates in 21 degrees of transom deadrise, and a reversed sheer line that drops precipitously toward the waterline aft.

• Rugged fish-boatstyle tuna door latch automatically secures the walk-through windshield in the open position.

• Transitions to plane subtly and smoothly, an especially nice attribute aboard a boat with a layout that encourages the crew to mill about.

• Water system includes bow and stern showers as well as a spray head at the wet bar.

• Grey, nonskid matting graces the swim platform, providing a chic look and excellent footing.

  • Swim platform
  • Bow and stern swim ladders
  • Center opening windsheild
  • Flush mounted cleats
  • Aft facing seat at platform
  • Bimini

Comments

Original owner has had her professionally maintained. She has only 85 hours on her Mercruiser engine. Recent Manifold and riser replaced. Shrinkwrap will be removed at the end of March and she will be delivered to the owners home where she lives on a lift durning the season.

The water has always been a part of my life since learning to sail aboard a Sailfish while vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts. At twelve, I graduated to Penguins and 420’s at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland. My parents always belonged to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia and I often accompanied them on cruises aboard a Hinckley Bermuda 40 that we cruised in the Chesapeake.

Understanding banking after working 12 years for Loyola Savings and Loan of Maryland, I helped navigate the purchase of a 32’ Pearson Vanguard for a friend and taught him to sail. Loving the idea of sharing my passion for boating, I joined Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales (in what is now Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and Marina) in 1990 and worked as a broker and office manager for 25 years.

In 1993, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales became a dealer for Sabre and Back Cove Motor Yachts and I acquired an understanding and respect for powerboats. I worked closely with the boatyard commissioning new vessels and working as a liaison between new owners and the marina. I have an intimate understanding of the boat buying process - how to guide new owners through surveys, sea trials, registration, and documentation.

I love all boats and each one has its own quality. Though I would consider myself a traditionalist in boat design, I like what the new designs offer in comfort and ability.

My husband (of 30 years) and I live in Easton, Maryland. My husband is the rigging supervisor at Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and our daughter, having graduated from Washington College in 2020, is now teaching English as well as coaching the sailing team at the Gunston School in Centreville, Md. She has recently come on board as the Summer Sailing Director with the Tred Avon Yacht Club.

I am starting my 7th year as a broker with Brewer Yacht Sales and in addition to my office at Safe Harbor Zahniser’s in Solomon’s, Maryland I now have an office at Safe Harbor Oxford. This enables me to cover the territory from the Eastern Shore to Solomon’s Island and everything in between.

I look forward to speaking with you and sharing my passion for boats. Let me help you find the perfect yacht or support and guide you in the sale of your existing vessel!
