Nor-Tech

Nor-Tech was founded in 1992 when two friends, Trond Schou and Nils Johnsen, developed the first Nor-Tech prototype in Ft. Myers, FL. In the three decades since the company has created roughly 50 models ranging from 29 feet to 80 feet, mostly center consoles with inboard, surface drives, and outboard power. In 2006, the U.S. government commissioned Nor-Tech to build a drug-chase boat (a Nor-Tech 43), and in 2010 the 390 Sport was introduced, a go-fast center console that become the best-selling boat in Nor-Tech history. Known for producing unique boats of exceptional quality and performance — the company’s family boats can run at 80 miles per hour or faster — no two Nor-Tech boats are the same. By 2019, Nor-Tech’s 155-man workforce was turning out approximately 100 boats per year from new facilities in Cape Coral, FL. Prices for a new Nor-Tech run from the low $400,000s for a well-equipped 34-footer to $2 million or more for an optioned-out 55-foot center console.
