Overview

Built by the legendary Dutch shipyard, Feadship, Royal Van Lent, the 47.1m (154.5ft) BERILDA was built to Lloyd's classification and LY1 compliance, and delivered in 2001 with 499GT of interior volume. Featuring a warm, welcoming interior design by John Munford, BERILDA exudes gentlemen's club sophistication and elegance upon stepping foot on board through classic styling with satin-finished mahogany paneling, pale fabrics, and plush carpeting.

Owned by an experienced yacht owner, BERILDA has benefitted from a meticulous maintenance program under her current ownership, including a comprehensive refit in 2021 that included a full repaint, remodeled sun deck, renewed guest bathrooms, gearboxes rebuild, a full W6 generator rebuild, and a new entertainment system. She also completed her 20-year Lloyd’s survey.

Her intimate main deck saloon consists of a comfortable seating area that leads into a separate formal dining area for 14 guests. Heading forward past the foyer and staircase is the entrance to the owner’s suite including a study, a full-beam bedroom with a seating area, a walk-in wardrobe, and an adjacent child’s cabin which could easily be converted to suit her new owner’s needs. Below on the lower deck are four additional guest suites. There are two double cabins forward and two twin cabins aft, each with a Pullman berth. In total, the yacht can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests in five cabins. She also can sleep 10 crew members.

A convivial bridge deck lounge with hardwood flooring features a marble-topped bar and a casual seating area for guests to gather. Outside on the bridge deck, aft is an alfresco dining space and two circular lounges, which could be enjoyed in the sun or under awnings. The sun deck has a jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads forward, a sit-up wet bar, and additional lounge areas.

Twin 1,014hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow for a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots, and an impressive transatlantic range of up to 4,600nm for worldwide cruising. Zero-speed stabilizers ensure comfort on arrival.

Upgrades and Work History

October 2019 to June 2020:

• Full Paint Refit, Superstructure and Hull, removal of every fitting, rail, Sat domes, Aerials, shell doors on every deck and in the hull

• Removal of all varnished cap rails on all decks

• Full Antifoul

• Remodelled entire sundeck, new outboard Umbrellas. This included a complete re-designed bar with new fridges ice makers special lighting, New Speakers and large waterproof TV. Installed New Control 4 AV system control for music, light, TV etc.

• Replaced all external deck lights on all decks to LED 

• New Speakers on Bridge deck aft linked to Control 4.

• Installed at all sinks stations with automated and filtered cold still and sparkling water.

• New Crew Fridge.

• Installed New PLEX entertainment system and New Apple TV on all TVs.

• Installed new PEPWAVE Phone internet wireless system for improved onboard 

• internet.

• Removed Main anchor Windlass complete overhaul and service recoated internal surfaces and installed a new electric drive motor, complete repaint of anchor locker and bilges.

• Complete remodel of 4 aft guest cabin bathrooms, removed old bath system and replaced with full shower all new taps and fittings new lighting and controls total replacement of stone for a completely new look. Revarnished and repainted all ceilings.

• Both 125KW generators Full W6 complete rebuild effectively Zero hours only original part is the block

• Inspected cleaned repainted grey water tanks/Freshwater tanks and full cleanout of fuel tanks and inspection.

October 2020 to January 2021:

• Completed a full 20-year Lloyds survey by January 2021 so vessel is fully compliant with class. This survey included inspection and approvals after maintenance and compiling with surveyor demands and compliance in Structural/Mechanical/Tanks and Electrical systems etc.

• During the mechanical Lloyds survey it was required to completely remove gearboxes from main engines to do a full rebuild, which included new pinion gears bearings seals etc this was an intense project with time frame allowed and the location of work completed within the engine room. This basically Zeroed the hours of the Gearboxes.

• Complete repaint and clean of lower engine room bilge

• Replaced all 6 Miele Machines in the laundry with New Miele washer and dryers

February 2021 to May 2021:

• All Safety annuals and life raft surveys completed.

• Hauled to service Stabilizers in April 2021. Removed both fins, replaced port stabilizer shaft. All internal bearings and seals replaced plus renewed linkages and hydraulic hoses completed a major overhaul to the whole system.

• Anti-fouled vessel and replaced all Zincs and prop speed on all props.

2019:

• Major stabilizer overhauls

2018:

• Updated all fridge systems and upgraded electronic monitoring systems

• Complete strip-down and rebuild of HEM watermakers

• All new exterior cushions with new layout and lounge sun chairs
