Description

A Real Cruising Catamaran,

“Serial Keeler” is a fully loaded 1998 PDQ36 with Hull Extensions for additional performance. This cruiser is set up for long distance cruising, with plenty of solar power to run the Raymarine Auto Helm, Garmin 943XSV 9” Navigation Instrumentation with depth and temp, Garmin radar, AIS, Water maker and shipboard systems. Other electronics include a Raymarine ST60 TriData. Serial Keeler is powered with two 2022 electric start Yamaha 9.9 motors (Est hrs. 175) which are lifted within the hull when sailing to prevent drag. The Skeg hung rudders give added security for potential rudder damage. PDQ designed this boat to have solid fiberglass hulls and a Klegecell foam core topside for strength and reduced weight.

This unique PDQ36 has been upgraded with swim platforms bringing her length to 39’6” and increasing her comfort and performance. Serial Keeler is equipped with a Highfield 10’ dinghy with a Yamaha 15hp motor.

All running rigging runs to the cockpit, for ease. A full batten Main sail is supported with the Lazy Jack storage system.

Interior: Serial Keeler’s cabin consists of two queen berths with hanging lockers forward in each hull. The single berth has been converted to a workshop/utility room. In the same hull as the Master Cabin is a full head with a roomy shower, Navigation Station and seating. The guest hull supports the galley with a propane stove and oven as well as a good-sized refrigerator. The main salon has seating for 10 people in a U shape configuration.

Serial Keeler is ready to go on the next adventure, with her sallow draft and speed, you can get just about anywhere.

I started sailing on Lake Ontario in Northern NY, in an old Snark foam boat. I Purchased my first boat at 12, a Smoker Craft with oars which I ran up and down the Oswego River. Continued my boating life by joining the US Coast Guard where I spent time running from the Arctic circle to the equator, chasing drug boats and performing Search and Rescue duty. Following this I spent 28 years in the executive corporate world, while continuing boating on the West Coast, Mississippi & Missouri rivers, as well as the Great Lakes. For my vacations, I delivered boats to and from the Caribbean.

It seems the path was cut for me to continue helping people enjoy the excitement and adventure of boating. Florida is a fantastic place to do exactly what I love; boating, talking boats, and selling boats. I look forward to working with you, to find what your mind's eye has for your future in boating.
