One of freedoms most powerful boats ever built, "Arion" has all of the gear for safe shorthanded extended cruising. She is highly customized by her owner. sleeps seven total, 6'4 headroom, large fwd cabin with V-berth insert to make a double birth, main salon features a straight settee to port, v shaped settee to starboard with a fixed table, galley runs aft on port side with 12 volt refrigeration, 120 volt freezer, propane stove and oven,

microwave, hot and cold pressure water on demand, private aft cabin to starboard, with double berth outboard of the 2nd head with a shower, reverse cycle heat and air, custom dodger, cockpit cushions, teak folding wing table in cockpit, electric anchor windlass, dock lines, fenders, coast guard safety gear. she is a solid fiberglass hull, blue Awlgrip, white boot stripe, custom wheel steering with emergency tiller. 50hp 4108 Yanmar diesel overhauled in 2000, 5 batteries, 2 vhf's, windspeed indicator, knot log, depth sounder, radar, auto-pilot, Garmin GPS plotter. 1999 main sail, 1999 mizzen with 2001 sail covers, carbon fiber masts, st winches, halyards lead aft. circuit breaker protected batteries, mast mounted radar deflector, propane leak detector, interprotect 2000 epoxy barrier coat on hull, 3 nicro solar power vents, stainless steel bow protector, 4 dorade boxes, 2 lazy jack systems, strong sail track system, fully battened sails, shelves in lazarette. there were approximatley 27 of these racer/cruisers made in total production(she is hull number 14). this boat has many custom updates to her, and she is ready to sail.

Bruce Durkee grew up in Marblehead and began his love for boats at an early age. Over the years Bruce worked in the local boat yards, was a sail consultant for Hood Sailmakers, and was the first mate on a 98’ charter yacht in the Caribbean. He caught the racing bug early and crewed on many local boats and later raced in grand prix events including the SORC, Bermuda races, Maxi world championships, and was on the winning1992 America’s Cup Team America Cubed. He also is an accomplished photographer and can be found on the water photographing local regattas.
