Accommodations

The Beneteau First 30E offers six berths in two cabins and the main salon. It has good headroom at just about 6ft. There is a V-berth in the forward cabin with an infill to make into a double berth, with storage underneath the berth. Aft of the forward cabin is the head compartment to port with a marine toilet and wet locker behind. Opposite to starboard is a wash basin with cold freshwater. The salon has good-sized settee berths on both sides with a central table with drop­down leaves which opens to easily accommodate seven people seated around it. The port settee berth pulls out to make a double berth. The salon has lots of storage space. Aft of the salon area and to starboard is a U-shaped galley with a 2-burner stove, stainless steel sink with cold water. The galley has lots of storage space. There is an aft cabin to port which has a full-sized double berth with locker space and a folding chart table with storage for charts and navigation books. There is also side access to the engine. The companionway steps led up to the cockpit which has good locker space and room for the crew to sit in comfort.

Built by Beneteau and designed by Jean Berret. White GRP hull and decks with molded­in non-slip surfaces. Cast iron deep fin keel. Tiller steering to spade hung rudder. Anodized aluminium toe rails. Stainless steel stanchions, pulpit and pushpit quarters. Walk through transom gate to bathing platform. Teak battens to cockpit seats and transom platform. Deep fin cast iron keel with balanced spade rudder with tiller steering. Rudder completely rebuilt in 2022 with new bearings. Hull compounded and polished professionally every season.
