San Francisco is known for its hilly landscape, year-round fog, iconic Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and colorful Victorian houses. These are only some of the attributes that make San Francisco one of the most visited cities in the world.

The waters of the San Francisco Bay area offer the spectacular vistas and special conditions coveted by recreational boaters of all types and classes. And the Oakland Estuary provides the central bay’s most protected water. Marinas, restaurants, and various waterfront facilities line both of its banks.

The Oakland Marinas facility has more than 500 slips accommodating boat sizes 25’ to 75′ and offers features including keyed entry to docks, metered electricity, storage facilities, wireless high-speed Internet, complete firefighting system dockside and more.

Nearby are the Oakland Museum, the Oakland Zoo, a newly developed family-oriented park at Union Point Basin and Preservation Park with its dozens of restored Victorian homes. The marina is within walking distance of an Amtrak train station and the San Francisco Bay ferry system.

With a team of experienced brokers at our San Francisco location, Denison is here to help assist in meeting any and all needs, whether it’s brokerage services, a slip, maintenance, local attractions, restaurants, or just a helpful hand!

Nick was first bitten by the boating bug as a 12-year-old, racing (and capsizing) El Toros on Capitol Lake in Olympia, Washington. While he didn't grow up heavily entrenched in boating, that didn't dissuade Nick from skiing the lake or cruising the Puget Sound every chance he could get. Nick graduated from WSU with an advertising degree in 2004. Go Cougs! During his junior year abroad in Barcelona, Nick met his future wife, who grew up in San Francisco. He then followed her to San Francisco after graduation to pursue a career in mortgage sales.

He enjoyed years of success and self-preservation but avoided getting involved with his in-laws' business, who founded City Yachts & KKMI Boat Yards. Eventually, all that changed when the 34th America's Cup came to town. Nick had to be a part of the action and get involved the only way he knew how. He traded his calculator for a pair of Sperrys and started selling yachts for the family business. Mentored by some of the industry's finest, Nick has been building trust for his clients at City Yachts as well as St. Francis and San Francisco Yacht Clubs since 2012.

His infectious energy and easy communication style are well-received by anyone in his orbit. The strength and integrity of personal connection are vital elements of how Nick approaches his personal and professional life. It is this approach that has earned Nick the opportunity to be a mouthpiece for many yacht builders and brand retailers to expand product presence on the San Francisco Bay, all while growing City Yachts' sales volume every year since 2012.

As a father to two young boys, he loves teaching future leaders the subtle art of sailing aboard their restored Cal 20. Coming from a family who owns multiple boats, a fuel dock, a yacht brokerage, and two boat yards, Nick has an all-encompassing knowledge when it comes to yacht transactions. Whether your passion is power or sail, entrust Nick as your ally in the sale or acquisition of your fine yacht. Be sure to give Nick two short blasts if you spot him donning his flight suit during the Blue Angels.
