Vessel Walkthrough

Overview:

Perhaps enjoying one of the longest production runs in the industry, there were over 1800 of the 31 Bertram's produced between 1961 and 1983 but only 23 were special edition models. This rare hardtop Sedan model has the starboard side lower helm and half aft bulkhead with private head, air conditioned cabin and V-Berth, and custom Marlin tower.

Anodized aluminum marlin tower is in great shape, there is room for two and has a full upper station providing excellent visibility while fishing or cruising.

Repowered in 2007 by Mastry Engine Center, a Yanmar dealer who owned the boat at the time, with the current 6LPA-STP2 model engines. Current owner has owned the boat for just over 10 years and has continued to maintain her as a showpiece.

Hull and topsides professionally painted in 2018 along with new Furuno Nav Net electronics. New decks in 2014.

Detailed maintenance records show a history of continuous care.

This boat is rigged to fish with a custom Marlin tower, Rupp outriggers and a total of 17 rod holders. Decks have a PVC teak and holly synthetic covering that is attractive and durable.

All upholstery has been updated and shows in great condition, when not in use the boat is covered with custom canvas covers. Cabin is air conditioned with a 12,000 BTU AC unit when on shore-power, there is not a generator.

This boat is unique and will turn heads wherever you go!

Born in Daytona Beach as a third generation Floridian, I have always loved the water and knew at a young age I wanted to make a living that somehow involved it. As a kid, I worked on local charter and head-boats where I grew up in Ponce Inlet, FL. After obtaining my 100 T USCG captain's License in 1982, I went on to operate several of the charter and multi-passenger head-boats that I worked on when I was younger.

I eventually found my way into the Sportfishing world by the mid 1980's working on several custom Sportfishing boats. Tournaments and seasonal fisheries provided the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, the Pacific, and U.S. East coast. After starting a family in the early 1990's, I bought a 48' Custom Carolina and successfully operated a charter business out of New Smyrna Beach, FL for 16 years before eventually returning to the private Sportfish arena. My passion has always been custom Sportfishing boats, I have been fortunate to have worked and operated some of the best by builders such as Whiticar, Merritt, Spencer, Paul Mann, Jim Smith, and others.

With almost 40 years in the industry, I decided to put my experience to work assisting boat buyers and sellers in making good, informed decisions when purchasing or selling a boat. As a licensed broker since 2011 and owning my own brokerage for several years, I have had the pleasure of serving and forming many valuable relationships with my clients and look forward to many more! I now look forward to putting that experience to work for you as a member of the United Yacht Sales team.
