Description
The Catalina 320 is a contemporary design, performs well in a variety of conditions, and combines value and quality build techniques in an affordable package. Kinsale is a great example of Catalina's innovative approach to modern cruising yachts. Her aft-carried beam creates more cockpit space, and in turn, a larger aft berth. She also features the sought-after sugar-scoop transom for easy boarding from the water.
Kinsale is simple to sail in a variety of conditions, and will make a decent turn of speed with her masthead rig and overlapping furling genoa. Aft led controls keep everything in the cockpit, and her molded-in nonskid deck, dodger and bimini keep the crew safe and dry in sporty conditions.
The layout down below is thoughtful and inviting. Teak, ash and maple hardwoods provide a warm, traditional look, and molded-in countertops and backsplashes in the galley and head are practical touches that make for easy maintenance. The galley features a two burner stove with oven, a deep stainless steel double sink, and a rather large refrigerator/freezer compartment. The well-ventilated aft stateroom has a private door, a cedar-lined hanging locker, and plenty of room for those six-foot plus sailors who need a comfortable bed. The main salon features plenty of seating room on both sides, with a post-mounted table converting to an additional double berth. A forward berth provides private, comfortable quarters for your guests.
Reliable auxiliary power is supplied by a fuel-efficient Perkins 29hp diesel with expansive access both in the main salon and through the aft stateroom.
Kinsale is a fine example of a well-maintained cruiser, ready for the next adventure!
