She is an extremely competitive yacht yet offers excellent accommodations for the yacht club cruise with abundant amenities, and is great for a large family with three private cabins. Due to her superb construction, speed, and easy sail plan she excels in offshore racing. Resolute is currently set up for racing, but can be easily converted back to cruise mode.

The present owner purchased the IMX-40 in 2018 in preparation for the Newport-Bermuda Race 2022, and has done numerous upgrades including a complete new sail inventory and a new custom carbon rudder in addition to the previous owners total refit.
