Description

Designed to satisfy the exacting demands of the offshore - inshore fisherman, this boat also incorporates comforts normally expected for a family weekend on the water. Features appealing to the fisherman include wide side decks, a large cockpit, a recirculating baitwell, rod storage racks, a sink with a chopping board, rod holders, salt water washdown and tackle drawers. The forward cabin area has an enclosed marine head and shower compartment, a convertible dinette and a galley area with stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Aft of the galley is a 6-foot 6-inch x 3-foot 10-inch berth. Six opening portholes and an overhead hatch provide excellent ventilation. With its bow thruster for dock-side maneuvering and its unequalled reputation as an offshore - inshore fishing boat, the Albin 28 is a true delight to handle in any weather. She has a speed range of 20 to 28 knots, depending on the engine.

Apropos II comes with reverse cycle AC/Heat and Westerbeke generator. She has been extensively serviced by the current owner to include multiple pumps, shaft seal, cutlas bearing, injectors, new Racor fuel filter and replacement windlass. Her gel coat shines like new and is currently kept on a lift.

Jim & Moira Turner are old friends of Fillingham Yachts, having bought and sold both sail and power boats through our services. During purchase of both their Island Packet and American Tug they underwent a complete selection process to include suitability for cruising grounds, boat handling, livability and long term value. In joining the Fillingham crew they aim to bring this process to other boaters, to match buyers with their ideal craft, both power and sail. In working with them you will enjoy their stories of boating in England, Africa and now here in Florida, with frequent charters to the Virgin Islands. Jim is a graduate engineer from the UK having built manufacturing facilities in Europe and Africa before moving to Atlanta, where they continued their love of boating on Lake Lanier. Their boating together started when Moira bought Jim his first sailing dingy instead of a wedding ring 37 years ago. Their latest project is building a new home in Dunedin from where they will be servicing the Nature Coast. If your family team would enjoy working with our “Turner team”, give them a call!
