Overview

KIMBERLIE benefits from an owner who has spent the time and effort to maintain her in excellent condition and continuously update her wherever needed. An interior refit was conducted over the Summer of 2019. This included new soft goods and audio/video updates throughout the boat. The salon was enhanced with a new sofa, chairs, and tables, the formal dining chairs were reupholstered, and the galley dinette was recovered in new fabric. The sky lounge saw the most dramatic upgrades in the refit, which includes a new 83” Sony TV and audio/video equipment, a faux fireplace, and a new couch, chairs, and table. She just received another interior update including some artwork in 2023.

KIMBERLIE is powered by Caterpillar C32A’s and reliable Northern Light generators. She remains in Rina Class, and with all service and updates performed, is 100% turn-key for the next owner to step aboard and cruise immediately, or charter as well.

Walkthrough

Entering the salon from the teak aft deck through twin glass doors, you immediately encounter a quaint sitting area with four-barrel chairs, two sofas, and a pop-up 52' TV. Forward of this is the elegant dining room, with formal seating for ten.

Forward to port is the well-appointed, open space galley, with professional-grade appliances and a wonderful sitting/eat-in area. The crew quarters lead down from this area.

Going forward and starboard from the dining area, you enter the main foyer with a spiral stairway leading both up and down. Just forward is the day head. Forward yet is the master stateroom with king sized bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, and an ensuite bath with tub and shower. Soft goods were replaced in 2023.

Entering the lower level from the foyer, you'll find four well-appointed staterooms. Aft are two kings and forward are two doubles. All staterooms feature ensuite heads. Soft goods were replaced in 2023.

On the upper level and forward is the large pilothouse, featuring a great array of electronics, an observation couch, and an attached captain's cabin. Going aft you pass the day head and see the 6th stateroom to starboard which is a king and features an ensuite head with shower. Further aft is the sky lounge, with a stand-up bar, L-shaped couch, game table, and large flat-screen TV. Outdoors on this level is a sitting area featuring a couch and two captain chairs.

Moving up to the flybridge, you have a large Jacuzzi centerline forward with sun pads to starboard and stand-up bar to port complete with electric BBQ. Aft is dining for ten, and further aft are two new jet skis. This is a great space for entertaining.

A true Midwesterner at his core, Indiana native Mike Burke didn't exactly see selling yachts as a future career path. Sure, he'd visited Lake Michigan during trips to Chicago as a youngster and seen the marine industry at work, but it wasn't something that necessarily caught the eye of a kid from a blue-collar, mining family.

His dad, uncles, they all cut their teeth in the steel industry, and before that, some of his early ancestors were coal miners in West Virginia. Fast forward to the early '80s, when Mike found himself down in South Florida at the behest of a good friend and diesel mechanic, who thought the Sunshine State could offer him more in the way of a promising career.

Sensing the market was ripe now that he was living in the yachting capital of the world, Burke and a group of pals started their own company – Palm Beach Power – a couple years after arriving. Burke then spent nearly the next two decades servicing and repairing boats for clients around the globe.

Mike remembered it this way during a recent interview with North Palm Beach Life: "I flew all over the world," he recalled. "I went to Egypt three times and worked on a Sheik's boat, plus trips to the Caribbean, Mexico, Bahamas. Whenever boats broke down, they would fly us in. I loved it. I was the Diesel Doctor and got special treatment. Life was good."

Mike continued to work as a diesel mechanic, often being tapped to perform inspections on engines for some of the industry's major yacht dealers. One of the companies he worked alongside, HMY Yacht Sales, eventually offered him a job selling yachts, as opposed to just repairing them. Mike made great use of the opportunity, ultimately positioning himself as one of HMY's top brokers, selling 400 or so boats in his time there, with an average of more than $35 million in annual sales.

Later, he would leave HMY to become a yacht broker with Westport Yachts, one of the nation's most respected boat builders, where he spent his time focusing on the sale of larger yachts, with heftier price tags.

Mike now brings those years of experience on the repair side, as well as a strong pedigree in superyacht sales, with him to Denison Yachting, where he's poised to lead the company's sales efforts in Palm Beach.
