Quick and quiet with new Stars and Stripes Blue hull paint, cushions and brand-new stern drive. Very well equipped: Updated electronics, AC, bow thruster and double helm seat are just a few of the upgraded options on this iconic Surfhunter 29. Rack stored inside and only splashed when in-use. REVELER really “pops”. The color combinations, polished gel coat, glistening stainless steel and fresh paint all contribute to the look. This is an extremely well cared for boat by a knowledgeable owner who also has a Hunt 36 who is constantly tinkering with an upgrading both boats. But the 36 has won out, and the 29 is now ready for a new home. REVELER only has @ 625 hours on her Volvo big block 8.1liter 375hp engine which has just had a complete cooling service. When paired with the brand new stern drive, we can say with confidence this puppy is mechanically all there and runs like a top.

REVELER is a Hunt Surfhunter 29 with a quiet and smooth Volvo big block 8.1litre GI 400hp gas engine mated to a Volvo duoprop sterndrive. With optional air conditioning/reverse-cycle heat vented to the interior, head and bridge deck she is set up nicely for north/south usage and overnighting at the dock.
The deep-V hull with 22 degrees of deadrise at the transom, along with substantial running strakes allow this boat to track well even in following seas, providing the soft and amazingly dry ride the Surfhunter line is known for.
This engine/sterndrive combination is a great match for the hull, and the result is best-in-class handling and fuel economy on a boat that goes nicely at 12 knots on a plane, right on up to 27 knots fast cruise all day long, with max speed of 35 knots.
Stars and Stripes topsides paint with gold cove strip and a single white boot stripe with black bottom. Tan Bimini top with matching Moondust non-skid along with white cushions make for a sharp look. Spacious cockpit and enclosed bridgedeck with large L-settee to port and optional double chair with lifting bolster at helm to starboard. Teak accents at helm, teak louvered companionway doors, teak hatch and glove box dress it up and are practical at the same time.
Excellent ventilation is provided by removable side curtains and side vent opening windows (front-facing) in the side windshield panels. Belowdeck are several opening ports, a vent in the head and a large opening hatch. Screens for all opening ports and hatch. Medium blue Ultrasuede V-berth cushions with white piping look dynamite below.
Sightlines from the helm and bridgedeck seating are excellent. Full-beam stern seat can be removed to open up the cockpit for fishing or hauling gear.
The interior features a V-berth with filler and hanging locker. Teak and holly sole. Natural teak companionway steps; hinged with storage beneath. A huge enclosed head with ensuite shower to starboard. The galley is to port with single-burner butane stove, stainless sink, microwave and 12/110v refrigeration. Interior wood trim, doors and cabinetry in American cherry.
With less than 630 hours, this boat and motor with brand new stern drive are just hitting their stride!! REVELER was originally used in New York during the summers and then kept on a lift in Boca Grande during the winters by her original owners. The second and current owner has kept the boat on a rack inside a building and has only been using the boat during the day. She is a handsome boat, very well equipped and benefits from very recent paint, exterior fabrics, a brand-new stern drive, Garmin electronics…and the list goes on!

Head
The popularity of the Surfhunter 25 generated interest in a larger version, one with a bit more capacity and length, for longer open-water crossings and cozy overnighting. The Surfhunter 29 is more generous in cockpit and accommodations, offering standing headroom below, as well as an enclosed head with shower.
