General Description and Walkthrough

L&H Boats built the 33' Walk-around in Stuart, FL and they are well known for their practical design and high overall build quality. Faired and finished engine rooms are rarely seen in this sector of fishing boat construction but are a standard feature. The walk-around deck with no steps and good drainage are another L&H standard.

This particular L&H was opted for lower maintenance by having no teak, with exception of the helm chairs and cockpit rocket launcher. A walk-through transom door and a transom live well or day box are welcome options. Beneath the deck to the portside is a 5-foot-long insulated fish box and on the starboard side is a second large circular live well. There is a small step up to the bridge deck with a center console custom boat helm pod with single lever engine controls to either side. A single teak ladderback Release helm chair is mounted on a polished stainless stanchion. There are companion bench seats to either side of the helm. Forward beneath the starboard side bench there is a refrigerated drink box. Bridge deck has an enclosure surrounding it with three forward panels of polycarbonate and the aft side panels are Strataglass. A forward centerline 2-piece door opens to the cabin area down a 3-step ladder. To the starboard side is a console with molded in sink, cabinet below, and countertop. On a shelf above is a microwave oven, a stereo mounted beneath, and above a ICOM SSB radio. On the aft bulkhead here is the main electrical panel and smaller sub panel with the generator remote control and Air conditioning control panel. Across to the port side is the electric head and a small storage area with hanging locker and above is mounted a 2nd Vhf radio. Forward is the V-berth with a large filler cushion to make into a double berth. Above is an opening tinted deck hatch providing natural light.

Back out to the bridge deck, there is a drop-down hatch right in front of the cabin entry to access the engine room which is nicely finished. The generator is aft in the center and just above it are radial battery shutoff switches and engine room breakers. For better access when needed the aft engine room has an electric lift to open a hatch which is properly guttered and drained.

Outside of the bridge deck walking forward there are engine room ventilation panels in the deckhouse sides beneath the gunwale. There are flush mounted rod holders on the gunwale top, with 8 forward of mid-ship and 8 in the cockpit area. The bow has a top-opening anchor locker.
