Description

To be only described as "Classic Yacht" doesn't begin to explain this wonderful Ray Hunt Design. Easy on the Eyes...? No question. However, there is much more than an amazing profile and beautiful lines to be appreciated.

Albeit underway, dockside or in port, the Flush Deck layout allows the family and guests to all be on the same level while enjoying a Spectacular 360-degree view. From the spacious aft deck to the Helm station, no bulkheads, and no steps to impede movement or visibility. In addition, an elongated sunroof fills the main deck with natural light by day and the stars by night.

Her galley is complete and very cleverly designed. There are two very comfortable staterooms and two heads. The passageway on the lower level is quite wide and the headroom throughout is amazing.

In keeping with preserving her stunning profile, the dinghy is easily stored in the spacious (automatic) garage in the transom. The generous swim platform (and sculpted stairway to the aft deck) makes for easy line handling and casual access to the water.

"Independence" is swift, stable, and dry. She handles smartly in close quarters (bow and stern thrusters) and can easily handle a stiff sea even at speed.

She is exactly the kind of vessel that after people have been aboard it isn't hard to overhear...."Wow, what a boat"!

At just 15 years old, Parker started working for a sailboat dealership in Mamaroneck, New York, where he learned the trade from “underneath the keel”. Later, after completing his college education, he joined the Navy and served as a Navigator on several ships, including an Aircraft Carrier, a Fleet Tug, and a Fast Frigate, mostly in the South Pacific. At the same time as leaving the Navy, Parker joined the Merchant Marines. In the late 70s, Parker moved to Miami and accepted a position with a Hatteras dealership on the Miami River. He still lives in Miami today with his wife, Kiki.

Parker has a strong understanding of Internet marketing but prefers a more hands-on approach to promoting his listings. Over the years, he has built a vast network of industry contacts and through his efforts, Parker has established connections that have proven to be instrumental in this business. He is fluent in Spanish, which has helped him in negotiating transactions from Europe to South America. His listings mainly come from long-standing clients, and, likely, he's already sold the vessel at least once before. Parker's clients appreciate him for his excellent service, which has resulted in many referrals over the years.
